Palliative Care

Palliative care is a holistic approach to active and supportive care for individuals and their families when facing any life-threatening illness. The goal is to prevent and ease suffering while promoting an excellent quality of life from the time of diagnosis through treatment to the end-of-life. Starting palliative care early and having ongoing discussions about a person’s wishes, values and beliefs can help make sure treatment and/or end-of-life plans are person-centered and based around their needs and preferences.
