Diagnosis

Diagnosis begins when cancer is first identified. Determining how much cancer there is and the location of the cancer – staging – helps the clinician determine the best course of treatment for an individual.

“The feeling experienced [when diagnosed] was one of disbelief similar to my first diagnosis because there were no symptoms so there were tears. I coped well because I had been through this before and trusted the doctor I had chosen for the treatment journey.”
